Kolpein Announces Candidacy for Co-Chair
Joins Nicolee Ambrose in Drive to Re-Vitalize YRNF
Tim Kolpien of New York announced he running as a candidate for Co-Chairman of the Young
Republican National Federation. Pledging to be a partner in the drive to reform and revitalize the
organization, Kolpien will join Chairman candidate Nicolee Ambrose of Maryland on the Team
Ambrose '05 ticket.
Kolpien was introduced at a reception last week where Ambrose formally announced her candidacy
for Chairman. The reception was headlined by former RNC Chairman Senator Bill Brock.
"When Nicolee contacted me earlier this month, I asked for a few days to be sure I was making the
right decision," Kolpien said upon making his announcement. "As I talked with people around the
country, it became clear pretty quickly that Nicolee is doing this the right way. The endorsements,
support network, and fund raising network she already has in place, demonstrate the vision and
energy she will bring to the YRNF as Chairman."
"The people Nicolee has involved are dedicated to bringing the YRNF back to its roots," Kolpien
continued. "Serving state organizations, working with the GOP, and attracting more young
professionals to the Republican Party will be the focus of Team Ambrose. This is definitely a team
that I am proud and excited to be part of."
"Tim brings years of practical political experience to Team Ambrose," Ambrose said of her choice
for a running mate. "He will represent the YRNF in a mature, professional manner in dealing with
state leaders and national Republican leaders. I am thrilled by the opportunity to add Tim to our
team."
