“This plan brings the YRNF more in line with the RNC,” Ambrose commented. “Regional reform has been an issue for some time in this organization. This plan puts us in a position to move forward on regional issues. And, I am impressed by the fact that a diverse group of people is working together to make this happen.”
Zack Scrivner, Team Ambrose candidate for Vice Chairman At-Large, echoed Ambrose, “As the officer who would oversee the regions, I like this act,” Scrivner said. “This streamlines the organization into four regions and eight districts. It will allow for better communication and cooperation among states. That’s what we should be doing in the YRNF – facilitating communication to build state organizations.”
Team Ambrose Co-Chair candidate Tim Kolpien cited the cooperation that produced the act as a reason for support. “People from different factions were involved in this process. Compromises were made and a strong plan resulted from people’s willingness to put aside personal and geographical issues for the good of the national organization. Hopefully this process sets a precedent for how we can pull together to get things done during the next two years.”
The proposed Regional Reform Act will be voted on in July at the Young Republican National Convention in Las Vegas.
