FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Team Ambrose today announced that Adam Samuel "Sammy" Roth of the DC Young Republicans will be its choice to coordinate the 2006 YRLC. "Sammy has demonstrated the necessary initiative and desire to organize this critical event in Washington," said Nicolee Ambrose in explaining why Team Ambrose plans to appoint Sammy to this post. "Sammy will do an outstanding job coordinating this event."
"I am excited to have Nicolee's confidence," Roth commented. "During my campaign for regional vice chair, my central message has been about adding value to state organizations. I can find no better way to do that than by coordinating a leadership event in Washington. I am excited to have the opportunity to chair the YRLC, the most important Young Republican leadership event. In order to do the best possible job with the YRLC, I will no longer be a candidate for regional vice chair."
"With an event as large and as important as YRLC, you need to have a leader," commented Team Ambrose Co-Chair candidate Tim Kolpien. "Sammy is a leader. He'll do a great job, both in terms of organizing the educational portions of YRLC and securing prominent speakers."
Roth has been active in Republican politics for many years, and was elected as an alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention in 2000. He has been involved in national YR politics for five years now, including serving as the executive director and then chairman of the Colorado Federation of Young Republicans. He is currently the national committeeman for the District of Columbia Young Republicans and is on the Hill staff of Senator Olympia J. Snowe. He earned a business administration degree from Colorado State University and is now pursuing his Masters in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
