Team Ambrose is pleased to announce the addition of Zack Scrivner of California for the position of YRNF Vice Chair At Large. Along with Glenn Murphy of Indiana and Brian Graham of Florida, Zack Scrivner will be rolling up his sleeves and getting to work to improve the YRNF.
California Young Republican, Inc. Chair Catherine Brinkman supports Zack's decision to run for Vice Chair At Large. "Zack and I have worked closely for the past year to strengthen California's Young Republican network. He has helped raise money and grow membership for the state group, his local chapter, in addition to running a winning city council race in 2004. While California will miss Zack focusing solely on our state, I know that his leadership skills are needed on a national level much more if the Young Republican National Federation, Inc. is to be united and strengthened."
Nicolee Ambrose added, “I am thrilled to be adding such an impressive person to our team. In particular, Zack’s history of grassroots involvement, his experiences in running successful campaigns, and his experience as an elected official will all serve the YRNF well and help us become the organization we know we can be.”
Scrivner recently won a seat on the Bakersfield City Council in a district with close registration in Republicans and Democrats. Handily beating his three other opponents in the open seat, Zack used the skills and experience he gained from working the grassroots portion of Assembly Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy’s victorious race. “I believe it is important to ask every voter for their support. Representing people in a city, state or volunteer organization is about making sure you listen to concerns and build trust,” said Scrivner. “It is an honor to be asked to be part of a positive campaign to improve our Young Republican organization. I look forward to working with Nicolee and our entire team.”
Zack began working for McCarthy as his precinct coordinator in January 2002 when Kevin was first running for the Republican nomination in the 32nd Assembly District primary. Zack is the current National Committeeman for the California Young Republicans and the Immediate Past Chairman of the Kern County Young Republicans.
“Zack has continuously brought fresh and promising ideas to the table furthering the Young Republicans here in California,” stated California Republican Party Associate Representative Amanda Richardson when asked about why she will work to ensure Scrivner is victorious on the Ambrose/Kolpien ticket.
“Zack is one of the hardest working people I know,” stated Republican Assembly Leader Kevin McCarthy and former YRNF Chairman. “I have seen him in action and know that he will be a huge asset to the YRNF.”
