A native of Wisconsin, Patrick Peters brings a wealth of professional experience to the position of national Auditor. For nearly 17 years, he has been an accounting clerk at the law firm of Lane Powell PC in Seattle, WA. In addition, he has been a legislative session aide to State Senator Pam Roach and was manager of the University of Utah basketball team.
Peters has held various YR offices since 1995, including State Chair of the Washington YR Federation and YRNF Region 5 Vice Chair. In 1998, he was honored to be the Washington YR’s Man of the Year. Peters served on the YRNF national board from 1995-2003. He started out as Region 11 co-director. Next he was elected Region 11 and then Region 5 Vice Chair and finally he served as State Chair of the Washington YRs. He was the first person in YR state history to serve two terms. He also was chair of the Pierce County YRs in 1996 and was State Secretary from 1998-1999.
Patrick is a past member of the Washington State Republican Party Central and Executive Committees, and he has held several party offices on the County and Legislative District level. Patrick has also been active on numerous campaigns at all levels of government since moving to Washington in 1988.
Patrick studied Political Science at the University of Utah and Paralegal Studies at Pierce College.
In his community, Patrick has served on the Pierce County Community Development Block Grant Committee and he is a member of the football chain gang for Sumner High School.
Patrick lives in Sumner with his cat Bart. In his spare time he enjoys politics, reading, travel, sports, and most especially college basketball.
